If the devil is in the detail, he has just died and gone to heaven – Sometimes, it’s the little things that make special occasions into once in a lifetime occasions – to be sure your choice of wedding venue matches to your expectations, each and every component should be extra special. At Ballathie, we take great pride in ensuring each wedding we have the privilege of looking after, exceeds expectations. We don’t aim to host lots and lots of wedding celebrations, as we want each one we do host to be as unique and personal to us as it is to you.

The Wedding breakfast room has the most stunning views over the manicured lawns towards the River, The tables are set with crisp linen, polished cutlery and fine glasswear. Once your guests take their seats for the Wedding Breakfast, they are in the hands of our expert Brigade of Chef’s.

Head Chef, Scott Scorer says he is slightly ‘old school’ in his outlook to food. His food is classically French with a modern, fresh look and a Scottish twist. The 900 acre Ballathie Estate provides him with seasonal produce such as beef and game, wild mushrooms and local berries- he believes that any meal starts with a feast for your eyes, however he allows good quality local food to be served without the fashion statements of some restaurants – his food is deliberatley understated to all the food to make it’s own statement.

No one should upstage the bride on her special day, but we do want your guests to be ‘wowed’ by the quality and flavour of the wedding breakfast meal – each dish presented with a dash of flair, as the kitchen brigade work their magic backstage. All courses look as good as they sound on the menu, and taste even better.

Our selection of menu’s have been created with consideration of the number of guests and the seasonal variances of local food. You are very welcome to ask Chef to prepare a bespoke menu for you, using your favourite ingredients.

As each wedding is unique, we tend not to offer inclusive drinks packages, we would much rather sit and discuss your thoughts and create a personalised drinks selection for you to suit your menu, budget and your taste. Gail Schofield, our Deputy Manager will guide you through quantities, selection and budget, leaving you in control of final decisions at all times.
